What is Keyhand?
Keyhand is a secure platform for buying, selling and leasing businesses and property. Everything
about a transaction — messages, documents, inspections, offers and settlement — happens in one
private, confidential workspace called a deal room.
Is Keyhand a public marketplace?
Not in the usual sense. Keyhand is relationship-driven: you deal with agencies and agents you're
connected to, and confidential listings stay private until you enquire and are granted access.
How do listings stay confidential?
Sensitive details (business name, address, financials) are hidden until you enquire and, where
required, sign a quick non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that the agent approves. Only then do you
enter the deal room.
What is a deal room?
A private space for one buyer and one listing, where you and the agent (and any advisers they add,
like solicitors or accountants) communicate, share documents, arrange inspections, and negotiate —
all in one place, with a permanent record.
Who can see my enquiry and contact details?
Your enquiry goes to the agency managing the listing. Your email and phone stay private unless you
choose to share them inside the deal room.
How do I make an offer or apply to lease?
Inside your deal room, use Submit offer (for a sale) or Submit lease application (for a
lease). Your agent presents it to the seller or landlord on your behalf.
What does it cost me as a buyer or tenant?
Browsing, enquiring and using a deal room is free for buyers and tenants. Agencies subscribe to
Keyhand to manage their listings and deals.
Is my information secure?
Yes. Data is hosted in Australia, encrypted in transit, and isolated so each party only sees what
they're entitled to. See our [Privacy Policy](/privacy) for details.
Can I use Keyhand on my phone?
Yes — Keyhand works in any modern mobile browser.
How do I contact the agent?
Open your deal room and send a message, or use the "Enquire" option on a listing to start a
conversation.
What happens after a deal completes?
Your deal room and its record remain part of your transaction history, and completing a deal keeps
you connected to the agency for future opportunities.
